Do you have parking?

We have free parking located next to the building. The entrance to the car park is just to the left side of the front of the pub. Parking is on a first come first served basis and unfortunately, we are unable to reserve spaces, however there is usually plenty of space for our overnight guests. Alternatively, the National Parks car park is available just a couple of minutes’ walk away for those wishing to dine with us.

What time can we check in?

Check in is from 2pm onwards. We cannot guarantee an earlier check-in, however if the room is ready we will be happy to check you in earlier.

Do we have to book a table for dinner?

We recommend booking your evening meal to avoid disappointment. You can book a table here (booking link) or give us a call on 01729 830317.

Are dogs allowed?

Yes, we are very dog friendly. Dogs are allowed to go wherever you go. All our rooms are dog friendly, as is our pub & restaurant area. We also have dog towels at our entrance to dry off after a walk and plenty of water bowls around the pub. We welcome up to 2 dogs per room and charge £10 per dog per stay to cover additional cleaning time. We just ask that you don’t leave dogs alone in the room as they can become distressed.

Do you have highchairs?

Unfortunately, we do not have any highchairs at this time, however you are welcome to bring along your own seat if you should wish to.

Do you cater for vegan or gluten free diets?

Yes. We have menu options suitable for vegan and gluten free diets. If you have allergies or other dietary requirements, please speak to one of our team before placing your order.

Do you have ground floor or accessible rooms?

Unfortunately, due to the historic nature of the building all of our rooms are on the first floor and only accessible via stairs.

Do you have a function / meeting room?

Our function / meeting room is available for parties, meetings, private dining, classes etc. We can provide catering and refreshments for your event.

What COVID-19 precautions do you have in place?

The health and wellbeing of our guests and staff is our number one priority and we have implemented a number changes to ensure that social distancing and additional hygiene measures are in place in accordance with official guidance. Our aim is to enable our guests to dine and stay with us in confidence, without missing out on any of the usual benefits of a visit to The Buck Inn.

Our tables are socially distanced and sanitised thoroughly between guests. All guests are required to provide track & trace information or use the NHS app where possible. We operate a one-way system, hand sanitiser stations are placed throughout the building and our toilets are on a one-in one-out basis. We offer table service or ordering via an app. No standing at the bar unfortunately!

Rooms are thoroughly cleaned and sanitised between guests. During your stay with us you can stay safe in the knowledge that no-one will be entering your room. Should you require clean towels or refills, please just let us know and we will provide them for you. 

We also have new picnic backpacks available so that you can easily take lunch out for a walk and enjoy the great outdoors. Bring it back to us with your rubbish in it and we will take care of it for you. You can choose from basic or luxury picnic options, which can be ordered the night before.
